Instructions

Original
This game is the same as the pen(cil) and paper Tic Tac Toe, except it is on a computer. The object of the game is to place three of your X's (O's if second player) in a row without your opponent getting three of their O's (X's if second player) in a row. The first person to get three X's or O's in a row wins. If no one has three X's or O's in a row by the end of the game, (when the grid is filled) then it is a cat's game.

3D (Three-Dimensional)
This is a twist of the original Tic Tac Toe. The object of the game is to get as many rows of three X's (O's if second player) in a row without your opponent getting more rows of O's (X's if second player) than you. For every turn that a player has one of more rows of three X's or O's, they receive a point for each row. The game ends when there is only one square left because it would be unfair for anyone to have an extra square.

Hints

Easy
  • It is harder to lose than to win...
Medium
  • If you do not have two X's in a row, the computer will place his O's randomly, unless he has two O's in a row.
  • The computer's first priority is to win by placing a third O in a row of two, but if that is not possible, he will block the opponents row of two.
  • To win, you must trap the computer.
Hard
  • The computer's first O is randomly placed, while the second O depends on the placement of your first X and a probability. For example, if he randomly places his first O in square one and you place your first X in square two, the probability that he will place his next O in squarefive is 2 to 28, while the probability that he will place it in square seven is 4 to 28.
  • The probabilites are based on a four-point scale. 4 points mean the computer will win because he traps the human, 3 points mean the computer will win if the human is not aware of a trap coming, 2 points mean that the game will end in a tie, and 1 point means that the human can win if he lays a trap properly.
  • To win, you must trap the computer before he traps you...
